What Is Love?
This is a subject i'm not entirely sure i know a lot about.
If it's all about the happiness and nervous, tingling feelings you get when you're with a certain person and the awkward silence when one of you leaves, how do you define if it's just a closeness that you have as friends/aqaintances or if it's something else? Or even if it's just becoming comfortable with that person?!
I was recently informed by a friend, that (apparently!) to have a friend of the opposite sex would mean that when you first meet, that there has to be some kind of attraction and that you've thought about becoming more than 'just friends' at least once (i strongly disagree!) So in the end after a long and tedious debate, we agreed to disagree.
I find it quite interesting knowing people that will tell you quite happily that they love their partner, but yet they never really know if it is true love or just lust and comfort that keeps them together for a while until it's all over-don't get me wrong for some it lasts and i truly feel happy for them and at the same time jealous (of the thought that i may never have that), but it's then that you see the good and bad traits of that person, where as during the relationship you only see and hear what you want, whatever makes you feel happy, you're fine just simply existing, until it's over and it all comes crashing down like a ton of bricks (now that i would say is a cunt!) I don't pretend i don't have or have never had feelings for someone, i just try my hardest to push them to the back of my mind (for fear of everything going wrong and ending up hurt and totally screwed over) with that being down to my own insecurities of course, which would explain why i'm inexperienced at the whole love scenario. I just can't help but wonder if you can find someone you're truly happy with or vice versa and if you can, when do you know it's love?
And if love is such a cunt then why did you all go through it, you could of ignored it, chose not to interact with the person in question, but you went ahead, it's at some point failed and you've had to take the consequences just like one day i will too.
If there was someone out there that knew all the answers i'm sure we'd all be sitting at their doorstep waiting for them eagerly, but that's just it, that's my point - What Is Love? Are there any answers?
There are no rules to love, so if there are no rules then surely there isn't any questions to be asked?!
