Undying love

So Terry Schiavo is headline news, and what gets me thinking is the story that her husband has, after 15 years of close care etc etc, finally decided that his wife's life is not worth living. I listened and just thought about whether I'd last 15 weeks or 15 months before giving up on my partner. What a shit-faced cunt.

Pallas Athene said...: I may seem just a *tad* cynical here, but, seeing as Mr Schiavo has allegedly set up house with another woman (the BBC's exact words were 'started a family' - go figure) this seems like he's simply brushing her off, like a mosquito on his shoulder, as he can't legally get a divorce from her. The only benefit of her death over a divorce is that he can remarry in a church and he inherits all her money, which I'm sure he has wisely invested with this in mind as he is also her legal guardian and trustee.
