Mind Over Matter?
I was having a series of alternating vocal movements with a friend of mine the other day, and it seemed as though we were on the topic of falling mentally in love with someone and falling physically in love with someone - and which was more powerful/desirable.
Ho hum.
Now, I can't speak for the female segment of society here. In fact, I can't speak for the male segment, as I'm unbelievably freakish and gravely insane. But I will speak for myself anyway... Shh, listen:
Textual Infatuation
I think it's perfectly plausible to fall in love with someone over the internet. Someone you've never met before. It seems to be quite the trend these days, in fact. Fell in love in real life? So September 10th.
Personally, I've had love (is a cunt) bite my ass twice through cyberspace. Both times were the swiftest fallings I've encountered to date - why? I think it's because it's a purely mental connection, and for me, that's so important.
On the internet, you don't get the whole 'attractiveness threshold' that you get in real life. You know what I'm talking about, you superficial cunt. Where you don't even bother talking to someone because they're not turning you on enough. It's fine, everybody does it, anybody that says they don't is insane or lying - it's only natural. But you don't get this happening on the internet - unless of course you shout 'pixxxxxx!!111!!one!' at everybody you meet.
I suppose what I'm trying to say is that, with people you meet online, their attractiveness to you is based solely on your opinion of their intellect & personality. Which is splendid. Physical attractiveness is just a bunch of BS which fades as you get to know someone anyway - people always end up looking like their personality, once you get to know them well enough. Superficiality dies after about a month of knowing someone. Or so I think.
So where are we? Meeting people on the internet is not only a good way of canvassing all those people that you would throw up on if you met them in real life, but it's also a much closer bond, as it literally & simply is a meeting of minds.
Fucking
But surely relationships cannot exist without sex? Unfortunately, this is true. Sex is fantastic, and without it any relationships will crumble into the dust, much like the web-girlfriends I mentioned above did.
We all need the comfort of physical relations with someone - cuddles and kisses and shafting. It can be powerful. But I would propose that relationships built on such stuff are flaky at best.
At the end of the day, good sex can be easy to come by. You could wander out into the streets with ten bob in your pocket and find it in no time. Or if you want to actually put some work in, you can go to a club, get some slapper drunk and bang away. Or if you want to find something 'special' you can court the nicest person you can find and have nights of unbridled passion which make you feel like you're in love, but really it's lust/loneliness.
And if you never saw that person again, the lusting for them would die within a trillionth of the time the loving would've, had you actually loved them.
Headfuck
Thus, we come to the heightened state of both loving and lusting, which I like to call "headfuck", both literally and metaphorically. This is the real connection; the one that makes you cut yourself when they're gone. You know who you are...
No matter what certain 'playas' may say, there is a type of sex that is far, far better than anything you could encounter during a superficial relationship. That type of sex which is only possible with a love of someone's mind. Where every movement and touch is a communication between you. Where it starts way before you start and it ends way after you finish. It's where you take the mental bond into the physical plane - extending its reach and deepening its meaning.
And when you orgasm, it's like you've never felt anything that good, ever. And it happens every night.
That's real beauty, there. Letting your minds fuck each other. Both joyously, but also in that way that when you lose each other, you're so entwined that you cannot part without taking something of the other with you.
Sounds dangerous
Yes, yes it is. But I feel it's the only level worth loving / fucking at. Anything else is just a fancy wank.
Ho hum.
