What is love? Baby, don't hurt me. Don't hurt me. No more.

I was out with a friend of mine the other night. She told me about her dinner with her three gay friends. One of these men had just split from his partner, who is bisexual. He actually returned to his wife. Then she went on to tell me that she thinks bisexuals are the worst. Her reason being, that you never know who they are going to leave you for.

I believe honestly, that bisexuals are lucky. They are not bound to the norm of being able to fall in love with only a man or only a woman. It must be nice to be able to look past gender, which is something most of us cannot do.

Her statement is valid. You never know who they are going to leave you for. But, do you ever? Even in a heterosexual relationship, one partner could always leave the other for someone or something else. Why should it be any different for them? Love is a cunt to everyone. Accept it.

Your friend sounds like a cunt of the highest order. She does need to accept the fact that sexuality makes no difference to the odds of love being a cunt. Love being a cunt is a massively parallel event with a probability of 1.

No, what really hurts is when your bisexual sweetie leaves you for a member of your own sex. If it were the other sex, you could say, "Oh, well, s/he needed to be with a boy / girl instead of with me," whereas this way you have to say, "Wasn't I wo/man enough for him/her?"

See? You can find all sorts of ways to drive yourself crazy, if you choose to.

I'm not sure there's a choice for me, John. If someone left me, I can't imagine any other scenario than a horde of devilish ideas and reasons for its occurance, lining up brandishing their little spears and clubs, waiting to hound me further and further into my pit of self-hate, general-hate, god-hate and nihilism.
