God, I would cringe and spit uncontrollably if I heard this played at a wedding.
I've heard, randomly, that Sting says he wrote it about the Cold War. Like, WTF? I'm not sure, though.
Still, that wouldn't change the fact it's an idiotic matrimonial track.
I loved that song when I was a kid. now I just think it sounds kind of cheesey and makes me think of Puff Daddy (P.Diddy, Sean Combs, Very Rich Man, or whatever he goes by these days).
On another note, you guys must upload a couple of songs by Rachael Yamagata or I will cause serious bodily harm to the Powers that Be (JiB, Evil whats-his-face...) because she embodies Love is a Cunt with most of the songs she preforms. Also, there's a song by Don Johnson Big Band that I'd like to see on here called Penguin. I will even rip it into MP3 format and write about why it is such a great song for people who've been screwed over by love.
