Heartbroken Blog of the Moment: Doomed and Unrequited
Ah, one minute to midnight and just enough time to squeeze in the last bit of heartbroken fuckery this week. And shitting Christ, you had better be ready for this one...

Doomed and Unrequited details the life of a Swain, who fell in unrequited love with the heroine L years ago. Beautifully written, it harbours an abyss of pain which your own yacked up longings will struggle to rival. Yet, if you search amongst the months, you will be able to relate fully to at least one and at most all of his thoughts.
JiB recommends it. I recommend it. Anybody who's had their heart eaten by the tiny, steel-toothed worms of Eden's apple recommends it. The dude's been heartbroken longer than you've been in love - go breathe it in.

I have indeed breathed in the wretchedness that is Lovelorn Swain's blog. I read the entire thing. I am awestruck and horrified by not only the blog but the fact that I have the kind of life that facilitates my reading an entire blog before breakfast.
Now imagine that Lady L actually fulfilled our dear Lovelorn's fantasies. Let's say she loved him in every way he could possibly imagine. It was the heaven on earth he dreamed about. He had the winning lottery ticket of love! But, for some evil reason (insert devilish and unanticipated scenario of your liking here), she leaves just when his faith in love is fully restored...then you'd be in my world, all cunted up with no place to go.
Lovelorn, my heart goes out to you...well, that would be if I had a heart instead of a charred chunk of twitching meat. But, you know what I mean.
I'd just like to put my name down on the list of folks that read the entire thing beginning to end in a single sitting... And I *don't* have the sort of life that facilitates such antics.
It's hard to describe, but it's addictive in the same way I'd be morbidly fascinated by the Ghost of Christmas Yet To Come.
I too read it from start to finish in one sitting.
I think I even commented to him along the lines Undies mentioned.
But I also understood exactly where he was coming from.
Whatever your view, one of the greats.
Thank you for these comments, which are very much appreciated. I wrestle constantly with anxieties about the point of the blog, so it is particularly cheering to find that others appreciate it. I'm not sure that I write that well (and of course the bits that I think are the finest are the worst). I really have no idea how things will develop. At the moment there is friendliness, affection, rapport...I'm not sure why, but I certainly shan't argue with it. I sense something has changed in her life. I daren't ask her what.
